Let’s recall the history of Sudcalifornios.

The mission called “Nuestra Señora del Pilar de la Paz de Airapí” was a Jesuit establishment, between 1720 -the year it was built- until 1749, when it was abandoned. Located in the place called “Airapí” by the native Guaycuras, the territory belonged to the indigenous Pericúes.

Nowadays, the mission is a landmark of the downtown area of La Paz, and it is used mostly for weddings and catholic services.
