In the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is a whimsical rock formation known as the "Arco de Cabo San Lucas" located in the town of Cabo San Lucas, in the municipality of Los Cabos in Baja California Sur, Mexico.

It took Nature millions of years to form this rocky figure, and is symbolically referred to as "The Finisterra" or "End of the World". This landmark is located where the Gulf of California (or Sea of Cortes) meets with the Pacific Ocean.

Surprisingly, every four years "the arc of Cabo San Lucas" allows the formation of a white sand beach that make it a show for every tourist; other attractions are the reef, and the waterfalls of sand that form under the arc in a submarine canyon.

The "arc of Cabo San Lucas" can be visited on foot, from the city of Cabo San Lucas and the neighboring hotels. Also, taking a guided boat tour will show the most remarkable landscape spots and, in most cases, the chance to watch sea lions, dolphins and whales.
